Tattoo Eyeliner Is Back, In Fine Feline Form
WAKE UP ITH WINGS. BY MEG BELLEMORE
This morning, (while scrambling for a not-dried-out liner, ironically), Instagram brought us some long-awaited beauty news.
Tattoo liner is back. But not as we knew it in the year 1990. The 2017 version is free of blue undertones, extremely fine, and it doesn’t have to be applied in a line, as such.
The new invisible version is applied in between the lashes, to make them appear freshly tinted and full at all times.
We got straight on the blower to arch angel Amy Jean Linnehan, to find out exactly what this semi-permanent treatment entails.
FIRST UP, THE TECHNIQUE IS CALLED ‘FOREVER LASH EYELINER’ AND IT’S AVAILABLE IN ‘INVISIBLE’ OR ‘TRADITIONAL’
Unlike old school tattooing, where ink is embedded into the skin, teeny-tiny needles are used to weave the tattoo pigment in and around the lash bed, to make the eyes appear bigger and brighter.
